Do you know someone who’d love to pay less for electricity? Uprise has launched our referral program to make it even easier to help your family and friends go solar — and you could earn a cool $300.
Here’s How The Referral Program Works
Our referral page makes it super easy for you to get started. It’ll take you approximately one minute to fill out the form! You’ll enter your name and email, and the name of the person you’re referring, plus their email and phone number. There’s also space for you to add any notes about their roof or project, if you’d like.
We’ll pick up the project from there. We’ll reach out to your friend to gather more details, like what type of roofing material they have and whether there’s any shading on their property. You may remember these questions from when you started the solar process! We’ll schedule a site visit and prepare a customized design proposal for them.
If your friend’s roof qualifies and they decide to move forward with solar, you’ll receive $300.
How Can I Persuade My Family Or Friends To Go Solar?
What if you think someone’s roof might be a great fit for solar, but they’re not sure about it? We find it’s effective to lead with bill savings. If you feel comfortable showing them your electricity bills before and after solar, they can see just how much money you’re saving due to solar.
Besides cost savings, you can let people know solar allows them to reduce their carbon footprint, increase their home’s value, and boost their local economy.
If your friend thinks solar is out of their reach, or that they can’t afford it, let them know about Uprise’s no-cost solar program! We don’t think cost should be a barrier for anyone who wants to go solar. Through our no-cost program, your friend can go solar without paying for the system, and reap the utility bill savings.
Solar is one option. Granted, we think it’s a pretty fantastic option. But we’re not in the business of pressuring people to go solar. If your friend is curious but not certain, they’re welcome to schedule a quick consultation over lunch or coffee with our experienced team, who can provide them with options. There’s no obligation to sign anything — it’s just an initial chat for them to find out more.
If your friend has a specific solar question you’re not sure how to answer, feel free to ask us! Call us at (202) 280-2285, email us at info@uprisesolar.com, or fill out our online form to get in touch. Solar education is very important to us. Our website includes an active blog where we write about common solar questions and answers if your friend would like to do some research. Our Going Solar in Washington, DC: Your Questions Answered post is an excellent place to start.
Ultimately, your own decision to go solar can influence your neighbors to go solar, according to a Washington Post article. Just seeing the panels on your roof and talking with you may be enough to persuade them to look into rooftop solar for their own home.
What If I Didn’t Go Solar With Uprise?
You can still refer friends or family to us! Even if Uprise didn’t install your solar panels, if a friend you refer to us decides to go solar, you can make $300.
And why would you refer someone to Uprise if you didn’t go solar with us? Maybe the company who installed your panels went out of business, or you weren’t as happy with their customer service as you expected. Uprise consistently gets five-star reviews on Google, Angi, and EnergySage, and we take customer service seriously. We love being part of our local community; if you go solar with us, you won’t be a number. You’re our neighbor!
We have years of experience in the DMV solar industry. Many members of our team have been in solar for five to 10 years; some of us, even longer than that! We pride ourselves on high-quality installations and offer a workmanship guarantee written into your solar contract.
